چکیده
An extensive game is a detailed description of the sequential structure of the decision problems , encountered by the players in strategic situation. There is perfect information in such a game if each player, when making any decision, is perfectly informed of all the events that have previously occurred. • A set of N players • A set H of sequences (finite or infinite): H t : The set of all possible histories up to time t. H = H t Each component of a history is an action taken by a player. • P is the player function, P (h) being the player who takes an action after the history h. After any history h player P (h) chooses an action from the set A(h) = {a : (h, a) ∈ H}. The empty history is the starting point of the game. The game must end eventually. In other words, the length of all items in H is bounded.

• Assume there is a network of parallel lines from an origin to a destination as shown in figure 2.1. Several agents want to send a particular amount of traffic along a path from the source to the destination. The more traffic on a particular line, the longer the traffic delay. • Allocation jobs to machines as shown in figure 2.2. Each job has a different size and each machine has a different s...
متن کاملComputational Learning Theory Lecture Notes for CS Spring Semester
1 Preface This manuscript is a compliation of lecture notes from the graduate level course CS 582, \Computational Learning Theory," I taught a t W ashington University in the spring of 1991. Students taking the course were assumed to have b a c kground in the design and analysis of algorithms as well as good mathematical background. Given that there is no text available on this subject, the cou...
متن کاملEnhancing the Classroom Learning Experience with Web Lectures
In this paper, we present continuing research into the use of web lectures to enhance the classroom learning experience. By using web lectures to present lecture material in advance of class, more in-class time can be spent engaging students with authentic learning activities; our goal is to use class time for more learning by doing, less learning by listening. A longitudinal quasiexperiment wa...
متن کاملLecture Notes on Ergodic Theory
Some course notes on ergodic theory. These are for Math 7880-1 (“Topics in Probability”), taught at the Deparment of Mathematics at the University of Utah during the Spring semester of 2005. They are constantly being updated and corrected. Read them at your own risk. The authors thanks the National Science Foundation for their continued support. 1
